Configure Your Eudora Disk
Whether you are preparing a Eudora disk to use on campus machines or preparing your own personal copy of Eudora, the first thing you must do is configure the software properly.
The following information must be entered in a series of 6 dialog boxes:
Please remember NOT to click "OK" until you've finished entering information in all 6 areas!! If you do accidentally click "OK," choose "Settings" from the "Special" menu again and continue where you left off.
Getting Started
- POP Account-- put in your full e-mail address:
cstudent@students.uiuc.edu
- Real Name-- put in your full name:
Chris Student
- Connection Method--choose "WinSock" for PC computers

Personal Information
- POP Account--same as above--Eudora should fill this in automatically from your Getting Started information.
- Real Name--same as above--Eudora should fill this in automatically from your Getting Started information.
- Return Address-- put in your short e-mail address :
cstudent@uiuc.edu
- Dialup Username--put in your network ID:
cstudent

Hosts
- POP Account--same as above--Eudora should fill this in automatically from your Getting Started information.
- SMTP Server-- put in the address (it's at the end of your e-mail login!)
students.uiuc.edu
- Ph Server and Finger-- put in ns.uiuc.edu

Checking Mail
- POP Account--same as above--Eudora should fill this in automatically from your Getting Started information.
- Check for Mail--Standard is 15 minutes. You can put any value you want here.
- Authentication--Choose "Passwords"

- Return Address-- put in your short e-mail address :
